Ahhh... Fall is on the way! We had a few cool nights that teased and got us in the mood for the upcoming season. It is officially Autumn on September 23rd, which is just a hop, skip and a jump away. It's time to prepare the fashion troops, ladies, so bust out those storage boxes full of cashmere sweaters, make your mad dash to the dry-cleaners and keep the following fashion finds in mind...

POSH PINS ~ A great way to up the ante on a basic coat, jacket or vest is to accessorize them! Oversized vintage brooches, delicate little scatter pins, fabric flowers and lucky charms infuse business- classics and weekend casuals with a soupcon of royalty and fashion-forward flair.
SAILOR STYLE ~ We all know that each season has a piece or two that NO ONE can believe made it past the design house doors (remember stirrup pants and monstrous shoulder pads?!). The Peacoat, however, is an exception to the rule year after year. It is a wily retro favorite and we applaud this style for it's classic tailoring and promising adaptability.
PLAID PROMISE ~ Afraid of plaid? just a tad? It can be a very daunting print for the uninitiated. For starters, we recommend a simple scarf or wide headband. This way, you can experiment without exposing yourself to the Fashion Police or sacrificing your confidence. Eventually you may feel emboldened to try a Tartan plaid shirtdress at work or curl up at home in cozy Black Watch plaid pj's. Go, Fashionista, Go!
