Are you feeling a bit too casual in your tee shirts and yoga pants? And, you haven't just come from your yoga class? Are you finding yourself in a dressing rut but just want to try something a step up from your workout gear?
Here are a few suggestions for looking sharp and fashionable without giving up too much comfort.
Tees - think cotton, fun logos (like the Out of Print tops), fitted not baggy
Jeans with Lycra - benefit is comfort and No SBS - (saggy butt syndrome)
Cardigans - Neutrals or think great colors, thick or thin depending on the weather, long or cropped
Scarves - plaids, zig-zags, dots, animal prints
Shoes - ankle boots, plaid sneakers, flats with buckles or silly motifs, ballet flats.
Unstructured jacket or poncho - nothing too heavy, jean jacket
All tee shirts are not created equal so find a well-fitted tee shirt, maybe something with a fun logo to wear with a stretchy pair of jeans. We love the Out of Print tees. Try your best to avoid the over-sized tops. I see so many men and women wearing tee shirts that are WAY bigger than they are and it just makes them appear dumpy and much heavier than they really are. Trust me as you will feel much better when you look into the mirror and you see a physique reflected back to you that appears trim. Cotton tees are always a great bet as tops with too much polyester in them are just too warm.
As the weather turns cooler slip on a cardigan sweater with the tee and jeans.
You probably have a number of long, rectangular scarves lurking around so wrap one of these around your neck and you are ready to run off and take care of your weekend errands.
What do you find to be your favorite go-to piece to wear on the weekends?
