Blog

Our blog offers updates, inspirations, and ideas on the latest fashion news and newest consignment arrivals. Occasionally, we go on an adventure, visit a restaurant that we enjoy or we might run into an art gallery to see the latest display of current art work. We offer a nice little mix of tidbits from A-Z.

Fall 2016 Trends: Part I

VICTORIAN INSPIRED BLOUSES

And a lot of them. Mixed with everything from distressed denim, to sleek trousers, to matching ruffled skirts. A simple swap out of your regular blouses for a more feminine, victorian-inspired one can go a long way. We gave this cotton ruffled shirt an edge with studded accessories and a leather trimmed skirt.

SHADES OF TAN

Taking a slight step away from the deeper toned Camel color that dominated runways and department stores alike last season, the softer shades of tan took over this season, making for a more wearable trend, since it seems to coordinate with more colors. We love the oversized slouchy look of this Michael Kors sweater paired with a pair of structured menswear inspired slacks and belt. Top it off with a chic monochrome slacks/heels combo.

RUFFLES

From tiny ruffle trim on blouses to dresses completely made out of giant-sized ruffles, its safe to say ruffles made a statement on the Fall 2016 runways. We love this ruffle detailed coat paired with ruffled textured ankle boots, worn with a sleek turtleneck and oversized tote.  (And if ruffles on clothing aren't quite your jam, don't shy away from ruffle detail on boots and purses!)
